K3: RX dead, need help

Martin-2
Guys, i need your advice. At our Clubstation, while i was on 40m with
the K3 and a Dipole, another guy transmitted with the 2nd setup, a
TS-850 / TL 922 / vertical-ant on 80m.
I saw a HI RFI flashing and the rx went deaf. Resetting the K3 did not
help, also shorting out the gas-discharge diode on the KANT3-board.
The RX sounds like there is no antenna connected, there is noise, but no
signals. Help!

Sorry, I did not see this one before replying to your update. I think you may have damaged something. Check the protection diodes are not short circuit first though. The K3 has an amplifier and a mixer in immediate danger after the diodes, these may be blown, but are not to hard to replace, the mixer is a plug in item.

Then it is a matter of following the circuit from the antenna onwards. A signal generator will help a lot.
