Good morning everyone....
After hours of testing, it looks like my receiver problem was a failed PL-259 leaving the Alpha 87a to the junction box outside of the shack. After repairing that last evening, I was on 30 meters for over 2 hours and 40 meters for 1/2 hour and never lost the receive. More testing this evening but I'm optimistic the problem is fixed. Thanks for all of the ideas and comments. On a side note, the P3 with a large monitor attached made it easy to listen and WATCH the receiver in action.
