K3 Reduced RX signal strength with SUB on?

k5oai
When I switch SUB on in my K3, I can see a clear reduction in signal
strength on my P3 screen, as well as on the K3's S-meter.

I don't remember seeing or hearing this before. Is it something that I
just didn't notice before, or something new that I should be concerned
about?

Re: K3 Reduced RX signal strength with SUB on?

Sam,

If you are using the same antenna on the main and sub, there is a 3 dB
splitter inserted to feed both receivers.  That will cause a 3 dB
reduction in signal to the main RX compared to without the sub.
