K3: Ref Cal Parameter versus sidetone pitch

Chris M0PSK
Suppose I use Method 2 in the K3 Owner's Manual to adjust the Ref Cal
parameter. Should the parameter be independent of the sidetone pitch? More
precisely, were I successfully to carry out the calibration twice, using
different sidetone pitches, should the resulting Ref Cal parameters be the
same?

Chris,

If you are detecting zero-beat correctly in both cases, then the result
should be at the same frequency.
