K3 Reliability

I have been reading this thread with interest.

I have had my K3 around four years - s/n 1397 - . It has a full complement
of extras including the second receiver.

I built it myself and have never had a moment's problem with it and no
knobs have broken.

I added the KPA500 some months ago and that works seamlessly with my K3
(and pretty well with my TS590 - I do have other rigs).

I guess I have been either very lucky or, more likely, I am in the silent
majority.

I am now waiting for my KAT500 to arrive. I will also probably buy the new
TS-990 when it becomes available.

Barry,
Another member of the "Silent Majority". K3, P3, KPA500 & KX3.
All kits.
All work as advertised although the K3 works far better than when I bought
it; because of Firmware & Hardware upgrades.
