[K3 Remote] Audio Dropout switching SUB on/off

Rick Tavan N6XI
Why does audio drop out upon switching SUB on or off until moving the
respective AF gain control(s)? Can it be fixed?

It's a known issue ... at least known to Brandon, since he was already
familiar with it when I mentioned it a couple of months ago. A
workaround is to [try to remember to] leave the AF gain controls on
the remote K3 at your preferred positions, since actually the value
reverts to those values, not to zero.

Ah, that explains why this seemed like a relatively new phenomenon! I
recently taught myself to return those controls to zero when leaving the
remote site in order to prevent the remote connection from starting up with
non-zero noise regardless of the position on the control K3's controls.
Using the position of the controls on the remote K3 at start-up is OK,
although not what I would have done. Reverting to it every time the SUB
goes on or off is just plain wrong. Is a fix in the domain of Elecraft or
microbit?

Thanks, Iain.
