I think this was raised as a bug some time ago, clearly it hasn't been fixed! Most folk probably use audio tones rather than hard wired FSK and so probably don't notice. 73 Dave, G4AON K3/100 #80 ============== I am using my K3 for RTTY and have the FSK and PTT lines from the Aux I/O connected to a Com port through the usual NPN interface. It works fine. I note that the setting of Config:FSK pol (0 or 1) makes no difference on transmitted FSK. I am using FSK D as the data mode. What am I missing? BTW, I think Elecraft support is super. 73, Steve, K4FJ _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list. However, it seems to be "stuck" such that the FSK input needs to be low ("closed") for Mark and open for Space which is compatible with most interfaces that have a transistor output driven from a UART (serial port). > Most folk probably use audio tones rather than hard wired > FSK and so probably don't notice. I doubt that is the case - more likely that the default is right for most users. If one has a RTTY device that is "upside down" for FSK, getting it right is a simple matter of selecting ALT to select the opposite (USB) sideband. 73, ...
