I ordered my K3/100 kit on Dec. 24TH, 2007.
I received the FM, AM and 2.8 filters. Backordered items: DVR, 2ND RX, 400Hz 8 pole. 995 is a real cool number and I'm a happy guy! Bob W9RFS |

I had never thought about the quality of a serial number, but I
suppose having serial number 911 should give me pause. I got # 888. Pretty cool number, I think. Unfortunately it was erroneously
sent as a kit when I had ordered factory-built, so it's on its way back to Elecraft where they will build and calibrate it in the lab, then send it back to me. Looking forward to seeing it in a few weeks. (I'm a long-time home-brewer since I was a kid, but my hands just aren't as steady as they used to be, and was afraid I'd screw it up.) Interesting that my 10-meter 10-X number (from 1973) is # 8889. I was actually in line (completely serendipitously) to be issued # 8888, but it turned out that that number had been previously issued, out of sequence, to somebody's personal friend who wanted and asked for it. Note RE # 666: Please note, FWIW, that infamous US Highway 666 in New Mexico was finally redesignated as US Highway 491 last year by the US DOT pursuant to continuing pressure from the Navajo Nation and other residents of Western New Mexico. Maybe Elecraft skipped # 666 ? :-) Bill W5WVO DM65 in New Mexico ----- Original Message ----- From: "Tony Morgan" <[hidden email]> To: <[hidden email]> Sent: Tuesday, June 03, 2008 6:44 PM Subject: Re: [Elecraft] K3 SN#000995 delivered today > I wonder who got # 666? :>) > > 73, > Tony W7GO > > Richard S.
