For whatever reason, I can't get the SSB-CW feature to work with my K3. Sidetone works in rec, but as soon as I go to TX, no sidetone (or CW signal audio). I am using original Elecraft K3 software as supplied 9/8/2009 Ser #3460 TNX Bill K0AWU ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |

CW in SSB works only if you have enabled VOX (QSK or semi break-in) and do not use a footswitch. If you first place the K3 in transmit in USB/LSB mode, the key/paddle input will be ignored. 73, ... Go to CONFIG: CW WGHT and tap the 1 button (aka A/B). VFO B will toggle
between SSB -CW and SSB +CW. You want +CW. Note that you must use the internal keyer via the PADDLE jack, not external keying via the KEY jack. 73, /Rick N6XI On 11/7/09, Bill Davis Jr <[hidden email]> wrote: > > > For whatever reason, I can't get the SSB-CW feature to work with my K3. > Sidetone works in rec, but as soon as I go to TX, no sidetone (or CW signal > audio). Does not work if SPLIT but that's not a likely scenario. 73 - Steve WB6RSE ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |

With firmware 3.52, my K3 appears to send CW in SSB mode using the key input, judging by the output power following my keying anyway. 73 Gary ZL2iFB ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |
