I seem to have encountered a conflict between "SSB +CW" (i.e. CW
whilst in SSB mode - useful sometimes on 6m) and PTT. I have my K1EL WinKeyer configured to assert PTT during CW. It seems that CW in SSB mode is "muted" when PTT is asserted, so I get a short "blip", then stay in TX, but no CW tone. Perhaps PTT causes the source of audio to be "moved" to "MIC-SEL" instead of the CW tone, as opposed to a mix of the two? Bug or feature? Fixable? ~iain / N6ML ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |
> Bug or feature? Feature ... PTT puts the K3 in transmit using the selected mode (e.g., USB). The CW input puts the K3 in transmit using CW. That's why CW VOX (QSK or semi break-in) needs to be forced if SSB+CW is enabled. Unfortunately, the K3 lacks independent front and rear (mic vs. ACC) PTT inputs so there is no way to differentiate the source of the PTT. 73, ... Not only that, but I'd have to reconfigure my WinKeyer to not assert PTT each time, which is more hassle than it's worth... shame... > Unfortunately, the K3 lacks independent front and rear (mic vs. > ACC) PTT inputs so there is no way to differentiate the source > of the PTT. It wouldn't help in my case anyway - WinKeyer and footswitch PTT are "Y-ed" together on the read panel input. 73, ~iain / N6ML > On 6/13/2011 3:45 PM, iain macdonnell - N6ML wrote: >> >> I seem to have encountered a conflict between "SSB +CW" (i.e. CW >> whilst in SSB mode - useful sometimes on 6m) and PTT.
