K3 SSB

I am having problem on SSB. I has a motor boat audio. My MIC is HEIL PR-781
and I turned up and down the COMP and the MIC gain has the same results. I
also change the MIC into a HEIL PRO SET still the same problem.

Does the problem exist in both VOX and PTT operation? If VOX only, try adjusting VOX delay, threshold and anti to clear the audio. I had a similar problem with my K3 last field day after a guest operator made some adjustments, since we did not have the problem when using PTT, I played around with the VOX controls until it cleared up.

George,

Does the problem go away when transmitting into a dummy load?  If so,
you have RF Feedback in the shack and you should investigate your
antennas and feedlines for the solution.
