K3 - Scanning on 6m band

[Dave Quick - KØEKL]

When I try to scan between two frequencies on 6m I get the message "Scanning
not allowed on this band".
 
I'm using the procedure described on page 37 of my manual. Am I missing
something? Why is scanning not allowed on six meters?
