Hi Everybody!
The "Lets build it" manual was great but the schematics are missing :^( 73's Bob K7HBG _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list. Looks like I am not the only one who is interested in the schematics and the
block diagrams - evrybody is saying how great K3 would be but why we cant see any schematics in the manual and make our own conclusions? What is the deal with the schematics - are they not public? cant belive they are not finalized already...hmm this doesnt fit with the spirit of my beloved K2 and the kit-building... 73 AE1Z ----- Original Message ----- From: <[hidden email]> To: <[hidden email]> Sent: Saturday, September 15, 2007 8:57 PM Subject: [Elecraft] K3 Schematics? > Hi Everybody! > The "Lets build it" manual was great but the schematics are missing :^( > > 73's Bob K7HBG > > > _______________________________________________ > Elecraft mailing list > Post to: [hidden email] > You must be a subscriber to post to the list. > Subscriber Info (Addr. Hello andrey,
Agreed. One of the purpose for kit building is - self training and education especially for a non radio man like myself. I will be pleased to see the K3 schematics though I may not be able to fully understand. Bearing in mind, all major ham radio suppliers do give both schematics and service manual. For my own collection of Icom and Yaesu gears, I have their respective service manuals. 73 Johnny Siu VR2XMC ----- Original Message ----- From: "Andrey Stoev" <[hidden email]> To: <[hidden email]> Sent: Thursday, September 27, 2007 7:55 AM Subject: Re: [Elecraft] K3 Schematics? > Looks like I am not the only one who is interested in the schematics and > the block diagrams - evrybody is saying how great K3 would be but why we > cant see any schematics in the manual and make our own conclusions? Hello Group,
Thanks to all your replies to the above and I have already ordered my kits from Thailand. Yes, you are not wrong. The kits from Thailand are of good circuit design and quality. The price is only 1/4 of that in UK, US or Netherland. cheers, Johnny VR2XMC _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list. There are many folks waiting for their K3s....I know that if Elecraft had to choose between shipping mine to me and making schematics and block diagrams available, I could wait for the later. Come to think of it...if I had a choice between looking at schematics and block diagrams or reading posts of k3 users, I would prefer the later. 73 - k3hrn Thom,EIEIO Email, Internet, Electronic Information Officer www.baltimorehon.com/ Home of the Baltimore Lexicon www.tlchost.net/hosting/ Web Hosting as low as 3.49/month _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list. Hi guys,
Just a point here. Can you think of *any* company who would make schematics and diagrams available in the public domain before the equipment has been released? I am astonished at what Aptos have released so far, I would not have done so. The K3 is a major step into the Amateur Radio market and you can bet your bottom dollar that the big 3 (and others) will be very interested indeed to see how it all goes together. Let's be patient, it won't be long now :-) Ian -- Ian J Maude G0VGS SysOp GB7MBC DX Cluster Member of RSGB, GQRP K2 #4044 | K3 #? _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list. A block diagram is available right now in the Preliminary Assembly manual.

Hash: SHA1 Exactly! When is the last time any of the other manufacturers published ANY manual for a product before it was shipped, much less what Elecraft have done? It wasn't that long ago the only way to get a manual was to buy it, or wait for the radio you just ordered to arrive with one. I am astonished at the whining I see about it. When the preliminary assembly manual was released it wasn't 3 hours before someone started complaining about the graphics and fonts used. FOR CRYING OUT LOUD FOLKS!
