I'm trying to configure Mixw macros so it will send commands to select
various filters, FL2 etc.... The "Programmer's Reference isn't much help to me. I was able to interpet the commands for my IC-7800 easily but this has me stumped. Can someone help me get started by telling me the command format for one of the filters? Steve,
Look at the "FW" commamd in the KIO2 Programmer's Reference. 73, Don W3FPR n4lq wrote: > I'm trying to configure Mixw macros so it will send commands to select > various filters, FL2 etc.... > The "Programmer's Reference isn't much help to me. That didn't help. I tried entering FWxxxx4 and nothing happens as if nothing
is being sent. There must be something that preceeds the command. The manual keeps mentioning GET and SET....Are you supposed to enter that somewhere? Steve,
I suggest that you read the entire Programmer's Reference paying particular attention to the command syntax. There is more to it than just entering the command itself. During that reading process, you should then understand GET and SET. Try a few commands from a terminal program first to get a feel for the syntax and command usage. After that, review your logging application to see if it automatically adds anything to that which you enter into the macro - if it does, that will have to be taken into consideration. 73, Don W3FPR n4lq wrote: > That didn't help. IF someone would just give me one command in the proper syntax I think i
could figure this out. I read the manual but it's really vague. Steve,
You did not use a ";" at the end of the command when you posted the macro that you were trying - that may be your sole problem. The other potential problem could be that the K2 is in a state where it will not accept commands. Since I don't know what your application is doing when the macro is invoked, I cannot know for certain whether this is a problem or not. You could try this sequence of commands: RX;K20;FW44442; which should select FL2 for you. If you leave the trailing '2' off, the next sequential filter should be selected. 73, Don W3FPR n4lq wrote: > IF someone would just give me one command in the proper syntax I think > i could figure this out. Don, The question was asked in regard to the K3 - not the K2. Unfortunately, the K3 does not (yet) seem to be able to select a specific filter/bandwidth only the next filter in sequence with the default DSP bandwidth for that filter/mode. Regards, ... FW00004; Set the correct speed, I use 38,400 baud.
Not all published commands work - I will have to look at my K3 as I just selected filter 5 and got filter 1 selected! Not quite - something very odd happening, I'll update the firmware over the
