K3 Serial Number 63 is Functional

Glenn McNeil
Hello Guys,

K3 Serial Number 63, located in VK Land, is up and working.

After an initial Hiccup at the  Synthesiser Calibration Step that was
cured by a Firmware Upgrade, all is well. I posted a question to the
Support Email Address about the Error Code I received, and within a few
minutes, Wayne had replied...so I can only say that K3 Support is
excellent !

The Radio arrived late Morning, and was fully functional, complete with
a new Firmware Upload, by 6 PM. The assembly went well and my only
missing parts were two Black 1/4 Inch Screws..that I replaced from my
small Stash of K2 leftovers.

A quick check of the Radios performance on the Test Gear went well, and
I can say that so far, I am impressed ! It WAS worth the wait.

I have since uploaded another Firmware upgrade and also a new K3
Utility, and all went well. The upgrades are dead easy.

This first K3 ( I am planning on another next year in 100W Version ) is
to primarily function as an IF for my Elecraft XV's and some other
higher Band Transverters. The Transverter integration is not quite done
yet, but my KRC2 may be a way around that in the short term.

Happy days !
