K3 Split and P3

Chester Alderman
In chasing PJ4B on CW on 20m, I put the K3 in Split. I was trying to find
the station he was just working with the VFO B cursor and that worked fine.
However if I pressed REV to listen, then the VFO B cursor became frozen; I
could change VFO B's frequency, but the cursor would no longer move. And the
only way I could bring the cursor back was to turn the K3 off and then back
on. After that the VFO B worked correct until I pressed REV again. So far I
can find no mention of this in the P3 Manual. Anyone know how to avoid this?

I ran into the exact same thing this weekend.  I have also noticed several times if I change bands the P3 will not follow the new frequency of the K3.  A power cycle resolves this but.....

When I get a chance I will try to establish the exact conditions of when this occurs.

Doug,

There had been an issue with the P3 not receiving band update
information from the K3 under certain conditions (e.g. when K3 bands
were turned off with the band map) but that was fixed several revisions
ago in K3 firmware.

Also, a new version of K3 beta firmware (4.14) has just been released
that fixes the issue of the REV button causing the P3 to quit tracking
the K3 frequency.
