K3 + Station Master?

Bjorn
Has anyone connected the K3 together with a microHAM Station Master? I
am having problems making TX Inhibit work the way it is supposed to.
The K3 and SM are connected together with the cable supplied by
microHAM and when I set TX INH to "HI = Inh" the TX icon starts
flashing as an indication that the inhibit signal is high. From then
on, there is not possible to key the radio at all.

In the microHAM router I have checked "Key In" and put "Switch delay"
to 25ms and "Inh" to30 ms.

The Station Master has the correct antennas and its "READY" LED is lit.

Anyone else being successful with this?

If you set TX INH = HI then if the TX INH line is floating, it will be
activated and you won't be able to transmit. It needs to be low to allow
transmission.

I am using TX INH with a normally-closed relay in an external SWR meter
to kill transmit on high SWR (to protect an amplifier). I am using a
pull-up resistor so the TX INH line rises to +5V when the relay opens.
When the relay is closed, it's grounded of course.

The floating condition is really not normal -- it should be grounded or
high for reliable operation.
