K3 - Still having pitch problems with 250HZ filter

I am still having pitch problems with my 250HZ, 8 pole CW filter.

Have tried changing the side tone frequency and going into filter setup;
but, the received CW pitch thru the filter is still too high.  I wish to
make the received pitch lower.

Anyone have any other suggestions?

Even though it is an 8 pole filter which *theoretically* has zero
offset, you may have to apply some filter offset in the filter setup
menu.  You can just guess, or you can use a broadband noise generator at
the antenna input and look at the audio output with an audio spectrum
analyzer such as Spectrogram running on a PC to see where the filter
passband is placed.  The amount by which it is offset from the frequency
set in the sidetone pitch menu is the amount of offset that should be
entered.
