I've been hopping around chasing spots on 10m this morning with my K3
(firmware 4.39/2.73), using DXLab (latest versions). Sometimes (can't figure out how to reproduce this), when I jump from CW to USB, the DSP filter gets set to a very narrow bandwidth and my FL4 (400 hz) remains selected. I thought this might be something in DXLab, so I shut it down and was able to make the same thing happen by alternately doing: M>V, M1 (selects CW frequency and FL4 (400 hz) with DSP set to 400 hz) then M>V, M3 (selects SSB frequency and FL2 (2.7 Khz) with DSP set to 2.1 Khz) The second action above results in FL4 being selected instead of FL2. Once I'm in this state, these two steps repeatedly do the same thing. Now, after the second action, if I use the WIDTH control to fix the bandwidth (also selects FL2 as its supposed to), then repeat the two actions above, all is well. I don't know how I am getting into this in the first place, but the memories seem to be fine. Any ideas what's going on? I first noticed this last night, and I haven't changed firmware in a good while. 73, Randy, KS4L K3 #4564 ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |
With a little more playing around, I've found that having DXLab (plus
LPBridge) running seems to precipitate the problem, but once I'm in this state, shutting it down (and all its pieces) doesn't clear it up. Also, it seems that when I alternate between CW and SSB, the filter settings are reversed - I get 400 Hz on SSB and 2.1 Khz on CW.
