Hi all,
I am using the K3 IF output extensively for I/Q downconversion and panadapter display. The IF Out connector makes this very easy. But it would think it would be very useful to have a separate I/Q stream from the subreceiver (e.g. for monitoring a separate band, or a different segment of the same band). I'm wondering if a mod would be possible to allow access to the 2nd receiver IF, and if anyone has done this. 73, Thomas M0TRN ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |

It's been done. A Google search for "krx3 if output" found:

Thanks Ian, and with complete instructions too. Now I just wonder how it
compares to the KXV3A output - I know there was a mod that made the IF signal on the main receiver much stronger, I'm not sure if a similar one applies to the sub as well. 73, Thomas M0TRN On 7 October 2012 02:50, iain macdonnell - N6ML <[hidden email]> wrote: > It's been done. For another approach look at
http://www.pvrc.org/Newsletters/jun12.pdf and in the files section of the Yahoo K3 user group. This uses a small preamp from Clifton Labs to provide isolation and some gain if desired.
