K3 TX Bandwidth

Roy Morris-6
I understand the present thinking is to supply the K3 with a 2.7 Khz 5 pole (standard) filter on the MAIN RX board which determines the transmit bandwidth.  Is there any other option other than the slightly wider 2.8 Khz 8 pole filter to get a wider bandwidth?  Would a variable crystal roofing filter on the MAIN RX board accomplish a bandwidth of choice?  If so, will this be offered?  Roy Morris  W4WFB

RE: K3 TX Bandwidth

Roy,

You can use the AM 6 kHz filter for TX on SSB.  Not sure yet what the
ultimate TX badwidth would be....maybe somewhere between 4-4.5 kHz.
