[K3] Thanks for the RIT tip.

I don't remember but someone a week or so ago was talking about vfo tuning rates and using the RIT knob for tuning with RIT off.
I've set the RIT for 0.5kc rate. This allows you to leave VFO in in fine rate and use the RIT knob for coarse/fast qsy or band scanning.

How sweet it is.       Thanks.

It's covered in the manual, configuration menu section under VFO CRS.

Mike,

That was useful.  Setting the Config:VFO CRS also sets the Mic up/down button step size.  I have a little box with two buttons beside the keyboard that was tuning in 1khz steps, and is now .5khz steps.  That is much more useful when tuning SSB bands.  I had not connected the VFO CRS setting with the step size of the up/down buttons.  Thanks.  Glad I tried the different setting.  73, Todd.
