Hi guys.
Worked 33 contacts in the NAQP contest on 80, 40 and 20. Nice not having to use a computer at all. But you need to be watching that display for the exchange!! The funny thing that happened, was when I worked Lee, K0WA. As his name scrolled by, my wife had walked into that shack, saw it, and said, 'Hey, the new radio tells you the person's name also!' So, I had to explain RTTY and the decode function. But all-in-all, I had a great time for the short amount of time participating. I had a bit of trouble getting the PSK and RTTY data to decode. It would have been easier if I read the manual first and it said you also need text decode on also! Not just DATA MD chosen! Oh well, lots to learn with this radio. I've retired the TS-570 after 10 years. 73 Ken WB2ART Sayville, NY _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list. Hi Greg
Well, I did not operate for that long, actually, I think I had 41 contacts. I doubt if I can operate SO2R, to much confusion. Have enough trouble doing SO1R!!!! Only 350 Q's. That's great. I am happy when I get over 25. 73 Ken WB2ART Greg wrote: > Hey Homie! > > That is pretty cool huh?
