K3 - Transmitter Gain Calibration Question

Robert Dorchuck
In going through the  Transmitter Gain calibration procedure for 5 and 50 watts
the actual power output measured on an external wattmeter (W1 & Powermaster)
drops off for the higher bands(4 and 40 watts on 10 meters) even though the
VFO B indicator remains at 5 watts and 50 watts.  Am I missing something or is
this normal?

RE: K3 - Transmitter Gain Calibration Question

Joe Subich, W4TV-3

Normal ... the internal wattmeter appears to have a slope.
On one K3, my power output is about 54W on 160,  50 W on 20,
47W on 10 and 42W on 6.  The other radio shows 52W on 160,
50W on 20, 47W on 10 and 46W on 6.

73,

   ... Joe, W4TV
