Hallo,
My white box (or in my case brown box) from Aptos arrived at 10:26 CET (09:26
UTC) on the 14th of November 2007, and appears to be undamaged. :)
Because the German Postal Service will not accept packages with a high insurance
value, I had to use UPS. The prices Lisa quoted for expedited and express were
almost the same, so I went with express (enough of the waiting thing).
In less than 36 hours after shipping, my K3/100 kit was delivered to me at my
work place in Ismaning, Germany (very close to Munich). I did not have to pay
the driver the "Import Tax" - the 19% ersatz as VAT for imports here in DL. I
assume I will be getting a bill from UPS or customs for this.
For about $200, UPS Express worked well for me. But the extra costs for VAT and
shipping are irksome to say the least.
