K3 Utility Program doesn't close properly

Dave Hachadorian
After I run the K3 Utility program, and close it out, I find
that it is still running in the background. If I do a
ctrl-alt-del, Windows Task Manager shows it still running.
If I shut down the computer, shutdown is delayed while the
utility is closed. If I try to start N1MM, N1MM shows the
com port still busy.

This is with Windows XP. It's not a big deal once you
realize what is going on, but still a minor irritant.

Anyone else notice this? Maybe it's something peculiar with
this Dell laptop.
