K3 Utility Version 1.3.10.11 is now available at
http://www.elecraft.com/K3/k3_software.htm This version corrects a bug in RF Gain calibration: The calibration data was not being correctly saved to EEPROM, and RF Gain calibration data was lost after a K3 power off/on cycle. Does this mean that we all need to redo the K3 RF Gain Calibration after installing Utility 1.3.10.11?

Paul,
Yes,it would be highly advisable. Actually it depends on the version of K3 Utility that you used when last doing the RF Gain Calibration. 73, Don W3FPR On 10/13/2010 7:48 PM, Paul Kirley wrote: > Does this mean that we all need to redo the K3 RF Gain Calibration after installing Utility 1.3.10.11? > > 73, Paul W8TM > > > Dick, K6KR sed: >> This version corrects a bug in RF Gain calibration: The calibration data was >> not being correctly saved to EEPROM, and RF Gain calibration data was lost >> after a K3 power off/on cycle. ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |

It wouldn't hurt. It depends on when you did your last calibration. I
introduced a bug that showed up in 1.3.9.22, earlier versions had it right. Is/was the bug ever part of the Mac utility?

I don't think so.
