K3 Utility Version 1.2.10.27 is now available on the Elecraft web site at
http://www.elecraft.com/K3/k3_software.htm This version contains the following changes: - Support for K3 Macros, introduced in Beta MCU firmware version 3.52. - Moved Calibration items to a new Calibration tab page. - Corrected a bug in multi-file firmware load; wait an appropriate time for MCU reset to complete before loading the next firmware file. Following a seemingly successful installation, pressing the "ANT" button to change antennas generates an error message: "No ATU" "ATU TUNE" gives the same message. I reverted to a Feb 14, 2009 saved configuration and ATU functionality was restored. Any ideas why this might happen? If it says "not inst" then it may have somehow gotten switched off. 73, Lyle KK7P ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |

So perhaps it was reset to "Not inst" after loading the new firmware, but why would loading the new firmware cause such a change? 73, Bill/NG3K ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |

I can't explain why it might happen, but on occasion after a firmware load, especially one that is moving up several generations, it is possible a config parameter might be altered. I suspect if you reloaded the new firmware, and experienced the same unexpected status of the ATU, it could be remedied through the CONFIG menu. Also, after a major upgrade, and once you see all is working properly, I recommend doing a configuration save using K3 Utility. 73, Lyle KK7P ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |
