I extracted the utility, and ran it in Ubuntu. The K3 will get here
before too much longer, and I will give it a good work out then. Thanks to Elecraft for think about those of us who have recovered from drinking the Microsoft "kool-aid". And thanks to David Fleming for the work on the utility. Since my K3 is newly constructed, my firmware is up to date. The only thing I needed to install on Ubuntu, is "curl"; which was easy - "sudo apt-get install curl". System info: Linux otter 2.6.22-14-generic #1 SMP Tue Feb 12 02:46:46 UTC 2008 x86_64 GNU/Linux Very impressed!
