K3 Utility

I use two Com ports on my computer: one for my logging program (DXLab) and the other for my rotator control

Does the K3 utility require a third com port and, if it does, how do I get it ...since I have used all my ports

I close the logging program and use this com port for the K3 utility. I don't think both can be active at the same time..

That's probably the way to do it from a best practices point of view.
When I'm flashing firmware on anything I shut off ALL the apps on the PC
(especially anti-virus), not just the one sharing a comm port.
