K3 Utility

George Rebong
I can not get the K3 Utility to work with my two K3 radios. I can make
update the firmware of one K3 using COM2 but I can not make my second K3
using COM10 to work with the same K3 utility.
On the K3 utility PORT tab, I closed COM2 and change to COM10. Then I click
on the FIRWARE tab, it doesn't shows the FIRMWARE version currently
installed on the radio. They are all blank or empty.

Re: K3 Utility

Guy, K2AV
Make sure that your computer is actually assigning COM10 to your virtual com
port.  Many USB devices will not "install" until the device is actually
plugged in, and pick whatever com port it fastens on.  This "walkabout" COM
port caused me trouble until I figured it out.  I put something that called
it in my boot menu to nail it down.  73, Guy.
