That made me curious about a really noise desktop I'm no longer using. I opened up the power supply. Amazing! There are drawings or whatever you call them on the PCB where AC power comes in showing inductor and capacitor symbols but those components aren't installed on the PCB. Someone told me that the FCC doesn't actually inspect these boards for certification but don't know whether that is true or not.

The Corcom 6EF1 is available for about $13 shipped on eBay...less in quantities or at hamfests. I bought several for about $5 several years ago to have on hand for computer RFI problems. I used one which completely cured a neighbor's whitebox computer that was generating birdies on 160m.
