On my K2 I am used to listing on the 2.7k filter so I can hear up or down the band a ways until I find a signal.
I just built my new K3 today. It is limiting the CW receive passband to about 1.9k and cuts off at 2000 htz on the high end. This is even though I set the width for 2.8k. Is there a menu setting to adjust this?
The passband on SSB really goes well over 2.7k.
I have the 2.7k and .5k 5 pole filters installed.
Even when I use shift to raise the CW pass band, the upper cut off will go up to about 2400 htz but then cuts off at the bottom. The cut at the top is steep leading me to believe that it is DSP generated, the cut at the bottom is more tapered and looks like the edge of the crystal filter.
Also, is there a way to adjust the BFO so the entire passband is shifted a littler higher on CW only? (I dont want to change my tone pitch which I keep at 700). On my K2, the 2.7K passband on CW was set up from 100 htz to 2800 hts and I would like to set up the K3 as close to that as I can for listening up and down the band.
Thanks for your help!
Dean
