This K3, S/N 600 has always had issues when the KPA3 is installed. Finally had to do EEINIT with the PA removed, reconfigured the filters, recaled at 5 Watts, installed and enabled the KPA3, but the Max Power is adjustable only to 12 Watts. Have loaded the latest 1.78 FW etc.
On the included ERRATA sheet, there is a notation of new Config Menu item: TUN PWR, which seems absent in this radio.
Any thoughts on how one sets to the required 50 Watts for HP TX Gain Cal ?? Yep the PA IS enabled, wires attached to the 20 Amp CB etc. the Fans test OK at all speeds.
What things am I missing ? Thanks Vic
