K3 XMIT in SSB modes

Mine doesn't behave like that, it works as expected and toggles the TX
on /off (MCU firmware 1.78). However for your desk mic, wouldn't a foot
switch be more use?

Having just loaded the latest firmware I find that pressing XMIT in SSB puts
the rig briefly into TX and then it goes back to RX again. Is this a
deliberate change, or did I imagine that this worked in the first place?

Same here - one press on XMIT puts the rig in TX, press again and the rig
switches back to RX. I too have MCU 1.78 in my K3.
I also second the proposal for the use of a footswitch - it frees up both
hands. The Heil footswitch is FB quality and reasonably priced.

73 and enjoy the weekend

So does mine. now. :-o The only thing I've done is turn the rig off
and then turn it on again since updating the firmware.

Not for long overs. I move my feet about to much.

about to do an update to latest - however
1.75 - one press on, second press off - stays on in between

v 1.78 - works the same
