K3 and 144 MHZ Mods

Luigi Casari
Regards to all

Is possible to have 12 volts in RX and 0V in TX on the 144MHz antenna 3
connector ?
In the manual speak of 5V but the preamplifiers work with 12V and most of
them in RX.
Some hope to have for the future this change?

The DC current from the centre pin of ant 3 is intended for switching equipment
not for powering preamps. The output is current limited to just a few ma so
would not be able to power any preamp
