Being a 6m operator I have a few specific questions:
1. Are the 6m TX and RX circuits diiferent from the HF ones? 2. What is the noise figure on 6? 3. On a K3 with the ATU, does the ATU tunes on 6 or is it bypassed? 4. Is the antenna out different on 6 and HF, the same or configurable? 5. Does the K3 receive on 48 MHz (videos for Es) without the general coverage option? 6. Not 6m specific: is it possible to order a K3 with the 8 pole filter instead of the 5 pole filter. If yes, what would be the price? 7. Not 6m specific: how come the K3/10 + KPA3 is $1.00 cheaper than the K3/100? That's all for now. Jean-Claude PJ2BVU __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? What is the noise figure on 6? MDS is likely to be around -140 dBm in a 500-Hz bandwidth. Given roofing filters to 200 Hz, you may be able to hear signals below this point. > 3. You'll need to discuss this with Lisa; the order form will eventually deal with several such questions we've had about filters. > 7. If it bothers a lot of people, we'll change it one way or the other :) --- http://www.elecraft.com _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list. Try to envision a circle with "Simply" arching across the top,
"K3" in the center and "The Best!" arched upward across the bottom. Kinda like this: Simply K3 The Best! only in a circle, instead of straight. And, of course, the Elecraft logo in small letters in front, on the left breast. (Preferably with a pocket.) 73 de dave ab9ca _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list.
