K3 and Digital Modes

Computer will not recognize K3 using Elecraft supplied cable.  Any thoughts?

Make sure you have the correct drivers installed if you are
using the USB to RS-232 cable. See the Elecraft web site for details.

More information needed.
What software are you using?
What is not being recognized with the "Elecraft supplied cable".
What does your "Elecraft supplied cable" connect to (both hardware and
software).
What software are you running?  Which OS?

There is no easy answer unless you can answer the questions I have posed
above.
