Has anyone been successful in interfacing the K3 with the Icom PW-1
amplifier to allow for auto band switching of the amplifier? 73 Mike W9QO ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |
microHAM microKEYER II, DigiKeyer II and/or Station Master provide isolated/regenerated CI-V control and PA PTT capable of controlling a PW-1 with a K3. DXLab Suite provides a software solution (the "Secondary CAT Serial Port" in CI-V Commander) to controlling the PW-1. I know of no other products currently on the market capable of translating serial controls in one format to the "CI-V transceive" necessary to control the PW-1. User Manuals for the microHAM products are available at www.microHAM-USA.com/downloads.html - general connection diagrams can be obtained by emailing a request to "[hidden email]", and information on DXLab Suite is available at www.dxlabsuite.com 73, ... Oh, there are a lot of them - the native CT17, Rigexperts, Rigblasters
etc... 73, Val LZ1VB > > I know of no other products currently on the market capable of > translating serial controls in one format to the "CI-V transceive" > necessary to control the PW-1. > > > ... Without the proper data, the PW-1 doesn't operate as an "automatic" amplifier - it must be switch manually from band to band. 73, ... As Joe mentions, my personal experience using the Station Master is very
good; it is a well supported and fully functional solution that also provides antenna switching and rotor control among other capabilities, and I just recently started using it remotely. 73 de Dave, W5SV On 3/22/12 2:33 PM, Joe Subich, W4TV wrote: > microHAM microKEYER II, DigiKeyer II and/or Station Master provide > isolated/regenerated CI-V control and PA PTT capable of controlling > a PW-1 with a K3.
