K3 and SPE

I cannot get my K3 to drive the new SPE 1K-FA amp.  I must have  
something wrong in the Config menu?  I got the RS232 connecting cable  
from Steppir along with the amp.  Any suggestions out there? the K3  
will not "key" the transmitter. Thank you.

You also need a male RCA-to-RCA cable between the K3's key line output and
the SPE's "Relay" jack.

Do you have a connection between the K3 Key Out jack on the back panel
and the SPE?  This will have nothing to do with the RS232.
