Perhaps a foolish pursuit but I'm going standard on N in place of SO239.
>From the assembly manual it appears that it would be easy to do a switch since Ant1 and Ant2 appear to be connected by little pigtails. Am I correct? tnx jim ab3cv (in the queue) _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list. Yes Jim, Type N's will work fine. The pigtails are just
stranded wire about 3" or so long with a male pin that plugs into the antenna tuner module. However, I've used BNC's on mine. Oak Hills Research sells a 2-pack with beautiful adapter plates for $7.50. His part number is OP-SB2. 73! I'm going to change out to BNC also....
they are good to at least 4x the K3 output power... and well past UHF.... and small & quick bayonet !!!!!!!.... (just like the other bncs on the back of my K3.) bill >However, I've used BNC's on mine. Oak Hills Research >sells a 2-pack with beautiful adapter plates for $7.50. His >part number is OP-SB2. > >73!
