At long last my K3 has arrived, its been a long wait. Now to get to know how to drive it.
Unfortunately the mic was missed from the package, but a quick call to Elecraft and its on its way.
Their service is tremendous, thanks all.
Transverter questions.
I intend to use the K3 on HF but also to drive a DB6NT transverter on 1296 (23cm) for EME.
(a) I have turned on the Transverter in the config, can I use the rig on HF as well as leave the transverter
output turned on? I cannot find anything in the manual about this, or maybe its bad looking!!
I ask this question as on my Orion II I turn the transverter output off, to use the rig on HFand
vice versa.
(b) I note the that I only have 3 figures for the frequency display, ie 1296 shows as 296, is this normal, or did
Wayne et al not remember about 1296 and higher, (a tongue in cheek comment).
