Mike,I have the W2IHY audio gear and 3 rig switchbox that I use with my PRO3, FT-2000 and K3.I can assure you the audio equalization in the K3 works very well, in fact I am using a PR-40 microphone and bypass the outboard W2IHY audio processing completely and feed the microphone directly into the K3. Also the switch very seldom leaves the K3 position! Mike WA8EBM Hey guys,
I am just trying to give myself a "feel good" about this rig. I ordered mine in December and I am still anxiously awauiting for it's arrival. I am a 90% SSB user and want to make sure I made the right choice in the K3. I know it is an excellent CW rig, but just wanted to make sure it does as well in SSB. Can any of you current owners give me some feedback ragarding this. Thanks, Mike _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list. Subscriber Info (Addr. Excellent SSB rig.
Only outstanding SSB issues as far as I'm concerned are the lack of audio punch (compression vs clipping) and the SSB RX DSP offset. I'm sure that both of these will be resolved. 73 Stewart G3RXQ On Thu, 21 Feb 2008 12:13:30 -0500, Mike Penkas wrote: > Mike,I have the W2IHY audio gear and 3 rig switchbox that I use with my PRO3, FT-2000 > and K3.I can assure you the audio equalization in the K3 works very well, in fact I am > using a PR-40 microphone and bypass the outboard W2IHY audio processing completely and > feed the microphone directly into the K3.
