K3 - auto-notch question

Bill Clarke
I use the auto-notch a lot - mostly to get rid of the tuner-uppers on 40
and 75 meters
SSB. It does its job of removing the offending tones well.  However, it
does introduce a
slight artifact into the received audio. Is there any means to get rid
of the artifact?

I also use a Kenwood TS-480 (simple and inexpensive rig) as a backup.
The auto-notch
also works very well on that rig. But.......... the 480 does NOT exhibit
any artifacts.

Perhaps I have a setting in the K3 done incorrectly - any suggestions?

Re: K3 - auto-notch question

Bill Clarke
Thank you - now I know it is a known issue and not something I doing
incorrectly.

Any idea when a fix is coming?

I did a search and didn't come up with much. Do you have the title of
the original post regarding these artifacts and a possible fix?
