K3 bad TX

Craig-89
Hi Toni

I would check if there is any arcing on the directional coupler toroids. I had a similar problem which caused arcing, spurious products and IMD.

I would also check your connectors in your TX chain. Its amazing what havoc one loose connector can cause with  high power.

I would also check the KANT3 module. There has been some factory changes which remove the 8mhz IF trap. My 8mhz trap went up in smoke for some reason. There was some arcing on the KANT3 toroid when transmitting.

My K3 now is clean as a whistle when checked on my HP8594.

""I was trying K3 for first time in SAC contest a couple of weeks ago.

During the contest I got multiple reports that besides of my run
frequency, I also had other reasonable strong signals "around the
band".
