Steve,
".....An alternative for those who didn't have a KPA500 is an outboard accessory box including a small micro-controller to create the command sequences the amp would otherwise send, and a set of push buttons with band labels (160-80-40-30 etc.). I would consider making such a 3rd party accessory available." And I would buy one too! I have K3 #371 since Feb 2008 and while I do realy enjoy this radio, the lack of this feature has always been an issue for me. I know of many hams who have not gone down the K3 road because of the lack of this feature. 73 de N1LQ-Dave ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |
Could someone please explain "Band Stacking Registers" to me ... Off
reflector *please* since I seem to be the only one on the planet who doesn't already understand this. I have a K3, P3, and KPA500. I haven't always had the P3 and KPA500 but have known how to change bands since I first got my K3. 73, Fred K6DGW - Northern California Contest Club - CU in the 2012 Cal QSO Party 6-7 Oct 2012 - www.cqp.org On 10/30/2011 11:43 AM, David and Dianne on Comcast wrote: > Steve, > > ".....An alternative for those who didn't have a KPA500 is an outboard > accessory box including a small micro-controller to create the command > sequences the amp would otherwise send, and a set of push buttons with band > labels (160-80-40-30 etc.).
