I'm trying to key CW via Writelog. Writelog only allows dtr for this.
I'm testing using another program and this is what I've discovered: 1. K3 set PTT-KEY = Off-dtr and sending on dtr, K3 sits there like a bump. 2. K3 set PTT-KEY = Off-rts and sending on rts, K3 keys CW fine. 3. K3 set PTT-KEY = dtr-Off and sending on dtr, K3 "keys" the TX LED. Problem appears to be K3 not responding dtr when it is assigned to KEY. Any ideas? Looking at schematic for KIO3, I see that DTR and RTS are a hardware
selection to control PTT or KEY_IN via Q3-Q6 based on how U5 outputs are commanded. This is likely a hardware problem. Has this been seen or can anyone confirm? WriteLog keys the K3 just fine if "PC Generated" is selected with "All mode PTT on RTS" checked and "CW PTT" set to "On LPT pin 16/ COMM RTS" selected in WriteLog, Cw selected on the rig control port, COMM PTT set to NO, and PTT-Key set to rts-dtr in the K3. 73, ...
