And after they are delivered, someone can start testing
the rigs and post some sort of info about how well they work.

I gather there are a few prototypes floating around out there,
which you would think would be close enough to the finished product
to give some idea how well they do, and I don't know who has
them, but they sure are good at keeping a secret!

Oh well, we know they are going to be great, I guess we have to wait
till we get one to find out JUST how great...

I hate to sound like the TenTec reflector a year or so back, but......

We'd rather you get it right than get it out the door 'on time.'

I am really getting anxious to get my hands on the K3, as I'm sure
others are too.  But one must ask...what would be a worse
disappointment:

1.  Radio shipped "end of July" but not performing as expected, or
2.  Radio not shipped "end of July," but when it does ship, is very
close to 100% of what is expected.

I've thought about this (I'm big into contingency planning) and I like
option #2 better than #1.  Of course, being in production run #2, my
expectations for delivery are not as high as those "below SN 200"
guys.  LOL

Of course, there is always option 3:  Radio ships this weeks (early)
and is everything we all anticipated!!!!

Option 4 ... we wait for Elecraft to ship the stuff when they know it meets

I don't see any problem with shipping something with a bug in it,
we just get to correct it, software download most likely...

Chances are we will be doing lots of updates anyway, as new
features are added....
