I can't get the K3 to transmit using audio supplied to the LINE IN jack. I'm
working in DATA A mode. I CAN transmit with audio supplied to both the front- and rear-panel MIC jacks. I have tried selecting the main MENU MIC SEL = LINE IN as well as the MIC+LIN = ON setting, but no go. Any suggestions as to what I've forgotten to set up? 73 -- Brian -- K1LI ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |

Have you adjusted the Line In level to an appropriate value?

Dick,
I understand now. One has to use the main MENU MIC SEL to adjust the LINE IN level, then one can switch to MIC+LIN = ON. Brian, You want to set "MAIN:MIC SEL" to "Line In" (when in "DATA" mode), then use the "MIC" knob to set the line-in level. I don't think you need (or want) "MIC+LIN". ~Iain / N6ML [hidden email] wrote: > Dick, > > I understand now. You also need either PTT or VOX. I use VOX, and it works fine. 73, Jim K9YC ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |
