K3 does not change mode properly with band change

David F. Reed-2
Being an intermittent problem, it is hard for me to figure out but I am
hoping some of you have seen and solved this...

Let's say I am on 40, LSB; sometimes when I change bands to 20M, it
stays in LSB; sometimes it correctly changes to USB.

Any ideas what is going on or how to fix it?

Thanks & 73 de Dave, W5SV

Dave,

Do you have anything plugged into the K3, like the RS232 connection on
the back? Any software running? Try the radio with out anything that
might take control and see what happens.

Resistance is futile.
(don't know about reactance, though)
